SEND

Our approach at Westside School is to meet the needs of students as set out in our school’s SEND Policy, which is available on our website .

We recognise the definition of SEND as stated in the Code of Practice 2015:

“A pupil has SEN where their learning difficulty or disability calls for special educational provision, namely provision different from or additional to that normally available to pupils of the same age.”

We promote a student-centred, graduated approach while promoting high quality teaching and additional interventions.
